Things I'm Into Right Now

Check it out---another Things I'm Into Post, even though I just did one last week. I've sort of been inspired by Daphne and Betts. They've both been doing these really great series of posts about things they are thankful for. I've toyed with the idea of joining them but I think I'm far too sour to commit to that much positive cheer. I worry that by the third or fourth day I'd be all out of things to be thankful for. So I'll just settle on doing another post about things that are making me smile right now.

*These oven mitts over at green clogs. I saw them and actually gasped a little. Gorgeous. Now I must add oven mitts to the list of things I need to learn to make.

*Crock pot granola. I made it last week and although it wasn't as clumpy as I would have liked, it was still tasty and even Jay liked it. I may have to play around with the recipe a bit more.

*Do you want a good laugh? Check out LovelyListing.com--Odd Finds in Real Estate.

*This blog. Short and sweet, updated regularly, and ended with a song. What more could you ask for? (I think I may be slightly obsessed with this man.)

*Pandora radio. Another obsession of the last few weeks. Makes my boring, housewifey chores a bit more bearable.

*Pumpkin. Now is the time of year when I begin tossing it into everything. The most recent fix came courtesy of pumpkin pancakes. Tomorrow I'm making pumpkin pies, one regular and one black bottom pumpkin pie.

I may be in this spot tomorrow, but if not, have a lovely holiday.

re: cheerful gratefulness -- see today's post. Not exactly cheerful. can I make it to Thursday? we'll find out...

re: Pandora -- it's the best! when I am in sappy holiday mood I select George Winston's holiday album and it's all nice and mellow and pretty...

The oven mitts scream happy. It (almost) makes me want to turn on my oven.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Love the new look...

i need some new oven mitts. not sure what happened to ours but they have all vanished. we have been using dishtowels. how i've managed to not get seriously burned is a mystery.

i'm pretty sure that adam is going to hide my crock pot from me soon. but really, how can you not love crock pot cooking?

thanks to the "porn monster" at work i can no longer access pandora...or any other streaming media for that matter. this makes for long days when i forget my ipod...or when i remember the ipod but forget to charge it...or when i have a fully charged ipod but have forgotten the headphones.

Thanks for the note about Pandora Radio. I'm listening now to some Regina Spektor type stuff. Awesome!

And also for the link to that blog with the pumpkin pie. The hubs and i just spent 30 minutes reading and guffawing through several of her posts. Just one more blog to keep me from being productive. LOL

Pandora is my absolute favorite during the holidays. I love, love, super love my Christmas station. I have it on my phone which I can plug into my work radio.

LOVE it.
