Is Your Weenus Showing?

Do you know what can make you feel really old? When your kids start introducing you to slang terms. For instance, did you know that weenus is a slang term for the loose skin on your elbow? It's true.

This bit of knowledge was passed on to me by my son and his friend. I then had to hear about an hours worth of phrases such as:

*"My weenus is bigger than yours."

*"Mom, he put his weenus on the table!"

*"He's making me touch his weenus!"

It's going to be a very, very long summer.

Boys are goofy! Kalen & friends went through a stage where they had this big stupid game realting to farts. If you farted, you had to say door knob or you would get thumped in the chest. He got my grown brother doing this as well. So Im thinking it might not get any better.

Now hes into girls and they are into him. This summer at the pool they go gaga over him & Ive been told "Your so lucky to be his Mom." I just want to say "Do you know he sometimes doesnt change his socks for 3 days?" But instead I smile....ahhh the joy of motherhood!

Ha! That is too funny. I think I just found a new word to work into sentences.

I am still in jr. high at heart.

Too bad I am starting to get a weenus.

all I can think of is: why on earth would there even be a name for your elbow skin? Good lord! that's pretty funny. I am working with a 17-year-old intern. I'll have to ask her about it, although I bet that hip phrase probably hasn't spread yet to Oakland high-schoolers. :)

Ha! I have the maturity of a 12 year old so I think it is funny. It is going to be a long summer.

My 5yo & 3yo are having a heyday with the words "penis" and "vagina" these days. It's getting really, really old. I'm sad to hear this doesn't end soon.

One of the things I love about summer is my daughter isn't around other kids as much and all the stuff that drives me crazy disappears.

Cool! I was reading you while you were reading me. I just saw your comment come in.
